Cookie policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This page lists the cookies and similar storage CalcIt uses, what each one is for, and how to change your choice. The privacy policy covers the same ground in more detail.

Your choice

Google Analytics runs from your first visit. It sets its cookies so we can count visits and see which calculators and guides people use. You can switch it off at any time: choose Reject, or refuse it in Google's consent message, and we turn analytics off and delete the Google Analytics cookies.

Advertising cookies are different. They are set only if you accept them. Google's consent message (AdSense Privacy & messaging, a consent platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework v2.2) asks for your choice. If that message is not shown to you, our own banner asks instead. Until you accept, Google's ad tags run with ad storage denied and do not set or read advertising cookies.

To change your choice, use Cookie settings. The same link is in the footer of every page.

Advertising cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies at youronlinechoices.com. How Google uses data from this site is explained at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and Google lists its cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Clearing cookies

You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Clearing this site's data also resets your consent choice, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
