Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 30 October 2026
CalcIt is free to use. Advertising pays for it. This page explains which ads you may see, who chooses them, and how we would label any affiliate link.
Ads from Google
CalcIt uses Google AdSense. Google and the ad partners it certifies choose and serve the ads. We do not pick individual advertisers, and an ad on a page is not a recommendation from us.
- Ads appear only on individual calculator and guide pages. They are never placed on the homepage, the list of guides, this page, the methodology, privacy, cookie, terms, about or contact pages, or the "page not found" page.
- Google labels its ads as advertisements.
- Whether ads are personalised depends on your cookie choices. You can change them at any time with Cookie settings.
How Google uses data from sites like this one is explained at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings. Our privacy policy and cookie policy have the details.
Affiliate links
CalcIt does not use affiliate links at the moment. If we add one, it will be marked where it appears, and this page will name the programme. A commission would never change how a calculator works or what result it gives.
Sponsored content
CalcIt does not publish sponsored articles or paid reviews, and no one pays to change a calculator, a guide or the order of links on the site.
Our other sites
Some pages link to UKPaycheck, a take-home pay calculator run by the same people as CalcIt. Those links are ours, not paid placements.
Where the figures come from
Rates and thresholds come from GOV.UK, HMRC and official statistics, whatever ads run on the page. How our figures work lists every source.
