CalcIt is a set of free UK money calculators, covering VAT, stamp duty, mortgage overpayments, redundancy pay and more.

Our mission

Working out a common UK tax or money figure should not need a spreadsheet, a subscription or a call to an accountant. CalcIt does the sum and shows how it was done.

Buying a house, checking a VAT invoice, planning a mortgage overpayment or estimating redundancy pay: each calculator gives an answer based on the current rates, with the working shown.

Privacy by design

Every calculation on CalcIt runs entirely in your browser. Your numbers are never sent to a server, never stored in a database, and never shared with anyone. There is no account to create and no data to hand over. The site is funded by advertising: Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies only if you accept them, and we also run cookie-free analytics on our own server. Our privacy policy lists everything the site loads.

Accuracy

The calculators use HMRC rates, thresholds and rules for the 2026/27 tax year, and are updated when those rates change. How our figures work lists every source. Results are estimates: for a decision that matters, check with a qualified professional.

Who we are

CalcIt is built and maintained by a UK-based team with a background in technology and infrastructure. The calculators cost nothing to use, are plain HTML pages that load quickly, and do their sums in your browser, so the figures you type are not sent to us.
